THE DEAL: A bootcamp work-out on the reg at the port and down by the beach run by the high energy Lena. Its a great way to meet new friends (get partnering up) and back into a routine.
THE WORK-OUT: Every Monday and Wednesday at 20:00 a group of motivated boot-campers meet in front of the harbor by Passeig de Colom. Run by Lena (who is trained is all the exercise arts; gymnastics, personal trainer, Zumba, weight-lifting and yoga) she’s got all the skills to make an awesome work-out. In each training session expect a combination of running, competitive sprints, high intensity interval training, partner exercises and body-weight exercises. Throughout the sixty minute session Lena keeps the motivation high. At the end if there’s time she will put you through some extra paces targeting the core. We recommend you bring a towel or mat to lie on for this (lying on park grass isn’t the best). The group also switches up location and moves to the beach every Thursday morning at 7:30 for a beach work-out or come for the later 19:30 session to try the advance dumb-bell work-out. There is nothing more satisfying than putting your feet and face into the cold sea after a tough, sweat-filled class. If you want a more cardio challenge we say stick to the Monday and Wednesday sessions. On Sundays Lena runs a core and yoga flow if you want to slow it down.
THE PRICE: First-timers can try a class for free / give a donation. Otherwise its €6 for a drop-in or you can pay €45 for a pack of ten.
