THE WORKOUT: 18:30pm Fitness - Brazilian Method on Wednesdays with Vivian. Train your body and your mind at Method with the team who keeps it simple. No gimmicks, no fluff – just good, hard, honest work. This class is made for sculpting a booty. Leading your stairway to J-Lo gains, is former pro volleyball player in Brazil, Vivian, whose results have garnered catwalk models to flock to her to work her magic. Using resistance bands and isolated movements to stimulate all the right muscles the class will take you through various glute-firing exercises like banded squats, glute bridges and crab walks, all interspersed with some tough core work. Walking the next day is not guaranteed apparently. Lucky then, that you’re next stop involves sitting down and drinking. Make sure you get your instagram snap outside in front of their infamous angel wings. Not because we’re into that fitspo insta pic proof I did that class b.s. But just because it’s cool.  For those not quite so into building the booty, the ultimate fitness challenge starts straight after at 7:30pm in the form of “The Club”. Expect super-sets and minimal rest to build total body strength, muscular endurance and promote lean muscle mass.

THE DRINKS: A secret speakeasy bar to have some cocktails after class. Be sure to make an appointment before you go, you can’t really just turn up. Once you’re buzzed in expect some mystery Sherlock interrogation from a dapper man in his front-room office. You’re here because you want a mysterious case solved remember so make sure you’ve got your facts in order. After the theatrics, push through the secret bookcase and enter into a cocktail bar Narnia. Bare brick walls, cracked white butcher’s tiles and orange-filamented bulbs create a slightly battered but lovingly lived-in feel. Cocktails are memorable. A G-minus is a glass of Tanqueray infused with lavender and earl grey, then mixed with orange bitters or keep it simple with a Sheer Fashion; honey, sugar and vanilla syrup added to a good, smooth bourbon. Soak up the booze with some good old fashioned carby snack favourites like mac n cheese, buffalo cauliflower, mushroom brisket, skinny fries, pork ribs and crispy chicken tenders. Don’t expect fine dining, so if you can handle your drink, best stick to them and head elsewhere for some proper grub.

THE PRICE: Method Movement fitness drop in £25. First-timers get 3 classes for £33. 5 classes for £100. Yoga drop in £15 and meditation £12. Evans & Peel drinks: £10-11.5.

BEST FOR: Mid-week efficiency. Build muscle, look like J-Lo, solve a mystery case and drink cocktails. And it’s only bloody Wednesday.
