One of the easiest double shot’s you can do. Not just because of the proximity between workout and refuel, but because it’s so god-damn good.

THE WORKOUT: Saturday 10.20am Matrix Total Body with Vitor. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street is Rathbone Square; a peaceful, well-manicured green space boasting a small collection of carefully curated cafes and restaurants. It’s here you’ll find Digme’s plush fitness flagship, home to the brand’s customised HIIT and indoor cycling classes.

Step inside the studio’s appropriately named ‘Energy Lab’ (…and trust us you’ll exert lots of it!) to confront one of Digme’s signature HIIT workouts. Matrix Total Body has been specifically designed to target different muscle groups through three sweat-inducing stations: Run, Condition and Move.

Over the course of 50 minutes, you’ll make your way round each station three times tackling an array of exercises including: TRX pull ups and kettle bell snatches, to squats and jumping lunges followed by a stint on the Skill Mill. Once you’ve completed a full set on each of the stations it’s time to DIG…and by that we mean dig inside yourself and grasp onto any last ounce of energy you may have. The Digs are essentially a one-minute finisher which can range from chest to floor burpees, wall sits and high knees. It may not be easy, but the endorphin rush and sense of achievement post class is electric. Be sure to grab yourself one of five yummy smoothies at Digme’s smoothie bar afterwards to toast to a job well done.

THE FOOD: If it’s an epic post-class feast that you’re searching for, then look no further than neighbouring restaurant Circolo Popolare just a few metres from Digme on the corner of Rathbone Square. The elaborate eatery and follow up to smash-hit sister restaurant Gloria, boasts delectable Italian cuisine and equally delectable interiors to match. The no booking policy on an evening can make it difficult to bag a table however brunch is bookable for smaller groups and walk-ins more achievable. The avocado toast with salty Tuscan ham is a guaranteed winner, but we couldn’t help the major food envy brought on by passing plates of fried egg and Italian sausage, stacked pancakes with ricotta, French toast, not to mention the humongous fluffy pizzas.
