THE WORKOUT: Sunday evening flow at 17pm with Nina gets rids of any Monday anxieties that might be bubbling under the surface and you can forget Sunday night blues altogether! In the warmer months when the weather is good and the sun is out this flow takes place right on the waterfront outside. Nina makes sure she caters the class to all levels and is always checking to make sure form is correct and people feel happy and safe. She knows a thing or two about healthy, being both a yogi and a pharmacist, so you know you are in good hands. The natural setting means that connecting inwards is easy and you’ll be surprised at how quickly you can tune into the breath and quiet the mind. The class is based on the Jivamukti style so moves through the typical sun salutations, standing postures, balances and then moves on to back bends and inversions on the floor before reaching the final resting pose Savasana. After class expect to feel recharged and refreshed and ready to take on Monday.
FYI: Yoga Rebellion in Wedding sadly closed their doors at the end of May 2019. You can visit them at their Neukölln location.

THE FOOD: A pizza haven for carb-hungry souls run by California locals Katelyn and Logan. St. Bess has made a bit of a name for itself making quality wood-fired pizzas at even better prices. The pizza dough is fermented for two days before being whacked in the oven and has a fluffy, rustic Sourdough taste to it. Toppings are a bit unconventional (which we like!) and most importantly generous. The kitchen focuses on using seasonal vegetarian ingredients (so you can hit your five-a-day veg goal no problem) and pimp up the pizzas with plenty of fresh herbs for extra flavour. For instance, dill is matched with creamy buffalo mozzarella and seasonal mushrooms and sage make for an earthy, comforting meal. The staff are also a dream and will look after you very well. This place nails casual, cosy Sunday nights on the head and will (temporarily perhaps) make you forget about the approaching Monday.

THE PRICE: Yoga Rebellion: A drop-in class €15, lower income €12, monthly unlimited €110. St. Bess: pizza €8-10.

BEST FOR: Extending the weekend and making the most of Sunday night.
