MyCrew Bootcamp run + Dumplings @ momos

THE WORKOUT: 19:15pm run and bootcamp workout. This is a workout advertised as running - but not the boring kind. Midnight Runners is Reebok's international run club and community in London, New York, Barcelona and of course Berlin - and their sessions are running dynamo. Each week they bring a free bootcamp to the city that mixes up a 10k run with body-weight exercises at stops along the Spree run route, all set to pumping music. Post work-out there are also drinks to re-hydrate and dehydrate (whatever your vibe is) to meet the awesome people you've just been sweating next to properly. This Wednesday (12th September) expect the drinks to be flowing more than usual as MyCrew Midnight Runners Berlin celebrate their first birthday. Sign up to the session before-hand via the My Crew app to book your spot. These bootcamp runs are weekly so if you can't make it this Wednesday, there's always next week!

Pro tip: Keep an eye-out for their special midnight run events (hence the name) that they host throughout the year.

THE FOOD: DUMPLINGS. And bloody good ones at that. MOMOS offering is totally organic and all about quality and sustainability which we love. Their thing is home-made dumplings (a.k.a. pillows of joy) with various vegan and veggie fillings and dips. Some of the best fillings include "Spinach- sheep cheese", "Pumpkin chickpea" with crunchy carrot, lemon zest & fried onion and "Broccoli shiitake tofu".  Often dips are a make or break for a meal. And these are definitely make. The "Mitho" spicy tomato dip with ginger and chilli is a must-try - its got the right amount of spice. Otherwise you can't go wrong with the traditional "Soy Sesame". The final step is deciding whether you want your dumplings classically steamed or crispy pan-fried. You'll be surprised how quickly you can get through a plate of these babies. Post-run opt for the medium order (fourteen dumplings with two fillings and one dip). If you're starving (we don't blame you - you've just run a 10k after all) then the large gets you eighteen dumplings with three fillings and two dips. Smaller appetites just after a quick snack there's an eight dumpling option. If you're craving something sweet then there's also "Sweet momos" - ten little pan-fried banana dumplings served with cinnamon & maple syrup that hit the spot. If you've had enough of dumplings by now then there's also a "Pecan choc brownie".

THE PRICE: MyCrew's runs are all free. Post-run drinks at Generator are around €5 for wine and €4 a beer. Momos: small snack option is €5.90, medium  €8.50 and large €10.90. Sides like edamame, green beans and crunchy sprouts (because #health) are between €3.90-3.60.A beer here is €3.50, wine €4.90 and smoothies €5.50. "Sweet momos" dumplings are €5.90 and "Pecan choc brownie" €3.20.

BEST FOR: A motivating mid-week sweat, a chance to meet a bunch of cool new people and for dumpling friends.
